Nobs are when you have a Jack in your hand or in your crib with the same suit as the cut card (or starter card). Cribbage games are just long enough that an extra point here and there can be the difference between an average player and a professional cribbage player. They count as ten and are great for scoring fifteens, pairs, runs and everything just like a ten, queen or king, but Jacks are more powerful and desirable than other face cards because of two special rules in cribbage: nobs and heels. At first glance, Jacks are like any other face card in cribbage.
